There is nothing like the feeling of accomplishing something you've worked hard for. This was 4 and a half months in the making. I worked out 2 hours a day, my diet was insane at time and I was sore for more days than I can count. But, I loved every minute of it!!!
I've already decided that I want to continue competing. I love lifting, I love the way it makes me feel. I love standing next to the "Big Boys" at the gym and lifting more than them! Eating healthy and working out is my new lifestyle and I can't wait to see where it takes me!
Here is a link to my Facebook page for work. I posted bunch of pictures from the competition, so make sure to check them out! :)

seen you at the gym- you've got a great physique. however... it sounds naive (and the credibility of your blog suffers) to state that you lift more than the "big boys". your average gym rat will squat/dead 400+ lbs... if you're doing that you might want to consider competitive powerlifting- you could set a world record. but you look great, keep it up!
ReplyDeleteHello Anonymous, I don't think you understand what I was trying to say. Most woman don't like lifting weights, because most of the guys are intimidating. What I've noticed at the gym, is most men don't work hard at all. They will do one set of something, walk around, do another set, walk around and then leave the weight room. They never really get a good workout in!!! I just want women to know there is no reason to be intimated. Most men don't lift a lot and are nothing to be afraid of.
ReplyDeleteAs for the heavy lifting, I don't believe your average gym rat can squat or deadlift 400+ pounds. Most men don't work their legs, let alone do those moves. Instead they specialize in tank top training (only the parts you can see)! Find me some average gym rats that can squat 400 pounds, I would love to see them do it!
I realize there are some guys that can lift a lot of weight, but their not your average gym rat. Those are guys that workout 6 or 7 days a week, and takes the bodybuilding lifestyle seriously. They are far from your average gym rat!
